The Matching Dilemma and Adjustment of After-school Service Supply and Demand Structure under the ‘Double Reduction’ Policy
Abstract
After the implementation of the “Double Reduction” policy, after-school services have evolved from a convenience measure into an important component of reconstructing the basic education ecosystem. Based on the statistical analysis of 226 questionnaires completed by parents of middle school students , this study finds that: although after-school services currently achieve high coverage, they face a structural imbalance between supply and demand. To address these issues, this study proposes the following adjustment paths: constructing a stratified and categorized supply system to balance fairness with diverse needs; establishing a dynamic and precise resource allocation mechanism to effectively match supply and demand; and strengthening policy support and collaborative education systems to provide institutional backing.
