Research on the Application of Color in the Creation of Chinese Figure Painting Subjects

Abstract


The application of color in Chinese figure painting carries the cultural connotation and aesthetic pursuit of the nation, and its expression quality directly affects the transmission of the connotation of the subject matter. This article takes the application of color in the creation of Chinese figure paintings as the research object, deeply analyzes the basic characteristics of color application such as symbolism, subjectivity and coordination, and systematically explores application techniques such as “coloring according to the category”, the combination of warm and cool tones, the integration of brush and ink textures, and the alignment with the artistic conception of the subject matter. It also puts forward practical ideas for the integration of traditional color wisdom and contemporary creation It aims to explore the cultural and artistic value of color and provide theoretical references and practical lessons for the color innovation in the creation of contemporary Chinese figure painting subjects.
