Generative Intelligence–3D Virtual Simulation Integration Reconstruction of a Teaching Paradigm and Practical Pathways for University Fashion Design Programs

Zhirong Yang

Abstract

As digitalization and artificial intelligence penetrate the apparel value chain, university fashion design programs require systematic reconstruction of learning objectives, curricula, pedagogy, and assessment. Grounded in Outcome Based Education and the New Humanities, this paper proposes a fivedimensional reform paradigm: subject reconfiguration (teacher– AI–student collaboration), industry–education integration, modular curriculum, project pedagogy, and intelligent assessment. The paper summarizes a modular curriculum, a representative 12week semester calendar, the technical workflow, formative assessment indicators, strategies for integrating local cultural resources, and key elements of project briefs, industry partnership agreements, and faculty training. The paradigm enhances creative efficiency, accelerates iteration, and strengthens engineering realization; integrating ethnic costume and craft with safeguards benefits both cultural transmission and design innovation. Policy recommendations and future research directions are provided to support replicable institutional reform.
