The New Discovery of the Cause of Phubbing in College Classroom and the Correction of "Sqare"

Abstract


The phenomenon of phubber in classroom has gradually attracted the attention of academic circles in recent years. However, most scholars regard the appearance of phubber as an absolute negative phenomenon and hope to seek countermeasures to eliminate this negative phenomenon so as to improve classroom efficiency. After in-depth and detailed research, it is found that there is no positive correlation between playing mobile phones in class and life goals, and using mobile phones in class is not completely negative. Students may be doing "positive things" with mobile phones, which is relatively positive. Playing mobile phones and listening to lectures are not mutually exclusive. Based on this, the phenomenon of phubbing in class should not be simply eliminated, but guided to a more positive sense through reasonable correction. Because of its obvious practicality, SQARE teaching method can fully mobilize students' enthusiasm for classroom learning, greatly attract students' attention, and make them too busy to pay attention to mobile phones. Therefore, it is appropriate for SQARE teaching method to serve as an important corrective role.
