Analysis of TCM Cultural Default and Its English Translation Based on Relevance Theory and Cultural Schema Theory
Abstract
Traditional Chinese medicine enjoys a high status in the world. At present, the culture of traditional Chinese medicine is being promoted to the world and has become a worldwide medical culture. In the treatment of many diseases, Chinese medicine has played an important role, which can fundamentally treat the disease and shorten the recovery period of patients. At present, there are many problems in the process of TCM culture's promotion to the world. The most important one is English translation of TCM. This article discusses TCM cultural default and its English translation based on relevance theory and cultural diagram theory, analyzes TCM cultural default under the two theories and proposes effective solutions.
