Chuang Xie, Renqin Hu, Hongbo Xu, Jian Lu, Yan Chen

Abstract

With the continuous development of pediatric intensive care medicine, it is of great significance to introduce the model of simulated medical education into its clinical teaching, which meets the social needs and ethical requirements. The simulated medical education has strong safety, high repeatability, rich contents and specifications, and is not limited by time in operation. With the help of relevant medical equipment, simulated medical education can reproduce different scenes of critical diseases, provide a real simulated environment for medical students to improve their clinical skills, train their medical decision-making ability, and enhance the cohesion of medical teams. However, the model of simulated medical education also has its shortcomings, which can be made up by elaborating the simulation scenarios, and strengthening the relationship with clinical practice and humanistic care education. This paper mainly discusses and analyzes the significance and limitations of simulating medical education in pediatric critical care medicine.
