On the Influence of Situational Teaching Method on the Teaching of English Listening in Middle School

Abstract


With the continuous improvement of China's international status and the enhancement of its overall national strength, cross-language communication skills have received increasing attention. In our country, English as a second foreign language has become a compulsory course for students' nine-year compulsory education. In English learning, "listening" in traditional skills, listening, speaking, reading and writing, is the most difficult and critical part of English teaching. As a key period of growth and learning, middle schools require students to lay a solid foundation and have a relatively complete English system. This requires English teachers to use modern teaching facilities and create new teaching classrooms to inspire and encourage students to stimulate interest in English, and then,master the English language. This article analyzes the impact of situational teaching method on middle school English listening skills.
