Wenhan Zhang

Abstract

The increasingly clear social division of labour is one of the major changes in the development of modern society, which requires all sectors of the society to have more precise and personalized professional talents, and to provide specialized services and skills for the transformation and development of the industry. Against the background, as higher vocational schools that are important training bases for technical and versatile talents, various teaching activities should be able to meet the market demand and launch the professional talent cultivation program. Under the background of economic globalization, English is a specific skill and knowledge that should be acquired by people in all trades of the society. Under the existing teaching system in higher vocational colleges, all industries are exposed to various contents of English, which makes the English teaching of higher vocational schools fail to meet the demands of market development. Therefore, it is of great significance to develop reflections on countermeasures for the professionalization of English teaching in higher vocational colleges.
