Research on Task-based Practices of College English Reform in the New Era

Abstract


Nowadays, the talent market has very high requirements for college students’English ability. Students need to have good reading, writing, communication, and application skills of English, otherwise, they cannot meet the needs of job market. Because at this point, society attaches great importance to the comprehensive literacy and application abilities of talents. In this case, English is not only a universal language but also an important tool for solving practical problems. Therefore, college English needs to adopt advanced education methods, such as task-based teaching, to improve the efficiency of classes and better achieve the instructional objectives. In this circumstance, the article first discusses the basic steps of English teaching, then studies ways of improving teaching from the perspective of informatization and curriculum evaluation,as well as various task-based teaching approaches for high-quality and efficient education of college English.
