A Study on the English Translation of Yi Jing in the Construction of the Soft Power of Central Plains Culture

Abstract


Yi Jing is the concrete expression of natural philosophy and ethical practice in Chinese traditional culture. As the typical representative of Chinese excellent traditional culture, Yi Jing is honored as "the top of the philosophical books and the source of the Great Tao", which makes it influence on the development of Chinese culture with a long history profoundly. Therefore, exploring the quality-improvement of English translation of Yi Jing will greatly promote the construction of Chinese cultural soft power. This paper focuses on the English translation of Yi Jing, by which exploring the ways to construct the cultural soft power of the Central Plains.
