Innovate with the Situation—A Study on the Path of Fighting the Epidemic in the Ideological and Political Education of College English Courses in Higher Vocational Colleges

Yanyi Wang

Abstract

Ideological and political education of college English courses in higher vocational colleges should be close to the theme of the times, adhere to the principle of dialectical development, and deal with the relationship between knowledge teaching and ideological and political education. Now COVID-19 is in the critical period of "preventing input externally and rebound internally". College English courses should be integrated with specific materials and ideas of epidemic prevention and control, thus making ideological and political education of college English courses “innovate with the situation”. This can really promote the improvement of students’ values, strengthen China’s self-confidence, and help people unswervingly take the road of China’s fighting the epidemic.
