On the Cultivation of Students’ Cross-cultural Communication Consciousness in Business English Translation Teaching

Abstract


With the progress of economic globalization and the advancement of China’s Belt and Road strategy, cultural, political, and economic exchanges between countries are becoming closer and more frequent. The society has put forward new requirements for the cross-cultural communication ability of talents, which brings greater challenges to the cultivation of relevant talents in colleges and universities. This article gives a brief introduction to the teaching of Business English Translation courses and analyzes the problems in Business English Translation teaching. Based on the specific conditions of Business English Translation courses currently carried out in Chinese universities, the author explores effective ways to enhance students’ awareness of cross-cultural communication. The aim is to provide colleges and universities with ideas for cultivating more specialized talents that meet the needs of social development and China’s construction, so as to achieve the important strategic goal of colleges and universities.
