The Significance and Enlightenment of Introducing the Practice of Opera Rehearsal into Bel Canto Course in Art Colleges

Abstract

Opera rehearsal is the artistic ability of performing through individual artistic skills or cooperating with collaborators to coordinate the performance with multiple voices. It is the main course that can embody bel canto skills in art schools. Opera is a kind of complex art with certain difficulty. Singing plays an important role in this kind of opera. The purpose of setting up stage performance course in art colleges is to improve students’ comprehensive performance ability of bel canto major, and to test students’ understanding of opera and artistic performance skills in this practical course, so it is very important to improve students’ comprehensive artistic ability. In reality, many art schools lack a correct understanding of opera performance, so they seldom arrange opera rehearsal courses. In view of this situation, this paper systematically discusses the important role of opera performance in bel canto teaching in art colleges, aiming at providing reference for the development of bel canto education.
