Yihao Jin

Abstract

When it comes to red culture, people naturally think of Xibaipo, Jinggangshan, Changsha, Zunyi, Yan’an and other places, and think of the red stories that happened there. The red culture represents the revolutionary spirit and contains rich historical and cultural connotations. In the age of war, the red culture is the unshakable belief that unites the hearts of the Chinese people. It leads the Chinese people to go through difficult times again and again. So, in the peaceful era, what is the spiritual connotation of the red culture? What benefits can it bring to Chinese children? This article analyzes the connotation of red culture and explores the way in which red culture is integrated into the teaching of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities. It is hoped that the spirit of red culture will further guide the teaching direction of ideological and political theory courses in contemporary colleges and universities so that contemporary young people can also learn from the red culture and establish a lofty spiritual pursuit.
