Analysis of the Chinese Image in Vietnamese Novels in Chinese

Abstract


Thanks to the rapid economic development in recent years, the influence of China’s politics, economy, and culture is constantly increasing. The comparative literature has developed rapidly and become an important direction for academic research. Many Vietnamese novels in Chinese cover all aspects of social development and record the historical development of Sino-Vietnamese relations, depicting a large number of characters and cultural images. This article mainly discusses the image of China in these novels, concludes the current research status to understand the significance of Chinese images in Vietnamese novels. It also comprehensively analyzes the image of China in Vietnamese novels at different developing stages, reflecting the development and mutual penetration of Chinese and Vietnamese cultures effectively.
