Research on the Value of Marxist Human Science to the Value Education of College Students

Abstract

In December 2016, at the National Conference on ideological and political work in colleges and universities, General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed that ideological and political work is fundamentally a work of human beings. It must focus on students, care and serve for them. In March 2019, the national teachers’ forum on ideological and political theory once again proposed that the youth stage is the "jointing booting stage" of life, and most careful guidance and cultivation are needed. In today's world, the competition between countries, in the final analysis, is the competition for talents. Contemporary college students as the future of the motherland, the role of Ideological and political education is very important. Marxist human science is a philosophy about human beings. Its main basic theories include the theory of realistic existence, the theory of concrete human nature, the theory of self shaping, the theory of practical generation, the theory of survival value, the theory of freedom and liberation, and the theory of all-round development. It explores and inquires the nature of human beings, their subjectivity, their needs, their development and their values. The ideological and political education of college students should start from the Marxist theory of human science, respect students' dominant position, and devote themselves to cultivating students' autonomy, initiative and creativity, in order to guide students to set up correct value orientation, and finally realize free and all-round development under the guidance of socialist core values.
