Construction of a Blended Teaching Model of English : Viwing, Listening and Speaking based on MOOC and Rain Classroom

Abstract


The in-depth integration of the Internet and education is an inevitable trend of the development of the times. Only by firmly applying the Internet technology and promoting its organic integration with education, can the university education reform in the new era be effectively realized and the ways to improve the quality of college education be explored with the help of the Internet become possible. English teaching in colleges and universities should fully embody the three basic principles of higher education: being student-centered, being outcome-based and clutlivating interdisciplinary talents. “Rain Classroom” is a convenient, practical, intelligent, and flexible educational tool created by Tsinghua University and XuetangX based on the use of WeChat platform and PowerPoint. It provides a new way for the construction of a blended teaching model of English: Viewing,Listening and Speaking. This article is based on Rain Classroom and MOOC education platform to discuss the superiority and practical design of a blended teaching model of English:Viewing, Listening and Speaking.
