Police English Teachers’ Knowledge Construction under Content based Teaching

Abstract


Police officers face many people in daily life. In order to work conveniently, police officers of different jobs need to master different levels of English, and content-based teaching is of great help to police English teaching. The English that police officers learn is targeted, which requires English teachers to have a clear awareness of ideological and political education. However, the lack of awareness of ideological and political education of English teachers and the disconnection between ideological and political education and traditional police English teaching are major problems in current teaching. This paper will discuss the combination of police English teaching and ideological and political teaching from the perspective of content-based teaching.
