On Chinese Translation of Buddhist Sutras from Eastern Han Dynasty to Tang Dynasty
Abstract
Sutra translation, from Eastern Han Dynasty to Tang Dynasty, is the first climax in China’s translation history, which can be divided into early stage, development stage and heyday stage. Outstanding translators have put forward various translation theories. Meanwhile, the translation has also brought influences on Chinese culture.
