Research on the Strategy of Counselors’ Guidance to College Students’ Employment and Entrepreneurship in the New Era

Abstract

Since 1999, China’s colleges and universities began to implement enrollment expansion. The increase in the number of college students brought by enrollment expansion has made the employment problem of college students more and more prominent. Some students with weak employment competitiveness are difficult to find suitable jobs in the graduation season. Therefore, the employment problem of college students even once became one of the factors restricting the development of China’s higher education. As the school administrators most often contacted by students, counselors play an important role in the process of students’ employment and entrepreneurship guidance and education. This paper will think about the role of counselors in the process of college students’ employment and entrepreneurship from the perspective of counselors, and how counselors should guide college students to carry out employment and entrepreneurship.
