The New Concept of International Education and Its Enlightenment to Higher Construction Education in China

Abstract


The development of China’s higher education is facing two challenges in the 21st century. One is the challenge of the worldwide scientific and technological revolution of information technology with electronic network as the forerunner and life science with genetic engineering as the core. The other more serious challenge is the transformation from planned economy to market economy, especially to international market economy. This article discusses the characteristics of the latest concept of international higher education, and further analyzes its enlightenment to higher construction education in China.
