Analysis on the Use of L’ Hospital Rule in Higher Mathematics

Abstract


The solution of the limit of undefined function is a key and difficult part of higher mathematics. It is the further scientific application of basic mathematical methods such as derivative. It can simplify the mathematical description of complex engineering problems and carry out qualitative and quantitative analysis. When students apply L’ Hopital’s rule to solve the limit, they do not understand the basic form of the rule, and often use it in confusion. The author combined L’ Hospital rule to find the basic conditions of the limit of the unformed function, according to the classification and analysis of students’ common and typical errors, carried out targeted error correction, standardized the use of L’ Hopital’s rule, and carried out special discrimination teaching in the classroom teaching process, providing a reference for the course teaching reform and improving the teaching effect.
