The Individual Rxpression of Colour in Stahl
Abstract
Colour, which plays an important role in oil painting, has a wealth of infectious and expressive power, and can even be used as the subject of a picture to express the painter’s world. This paper presents the individual expression of colour in Nicolas de Staël’s works from different periods and attempts to incorporate the results of research into his own work.
