How to Cultivate Students' Cultural Pragmatic Competence in College English Translation Teaching

Na Li

Abstract

Chinese students have been learning English translation since primary school, and English translation has appeared in education and teaching in the form of main subjects or compulsory courses until they enter the university. Even in the current form of education, great attention is paid to the teaching and research of English translation, and sufficient time is given for students to learn English. However, students' cultural language ability is not expected. There are many reasons for this result, some of which are related to students themselves, and some are related to learning methods.
