Research on the Interaction Effect of College English Online Teaching During the Postponement of Epidemic Extension——Taking Hai Nan University as an example
Abstract
The epidemic extension in early 2022 led to the readjustment of almost all universities in China to Emergency Remote Teaching through Online Learning (ERT-OL). The primary goal of this study was to investigate the interaction effect of college English online teaching. This study involved an experimental design in taking Hai Nan University as an example. A quantitative survey research design was adopted in this study, allowing the use of quantitative research strategies (e.g., using questionnaires with numerically rated items) and qualitative research strategies (e.g., using open-ended questions). The result of data analysis indicated the effect of teacher-student interaction would be weakened, and the opportunity for student-student interaction would be reduced. However, the frequency of student-online resources interaction will be increased.
