Research on the Improvement System and Implementation Path of College Students’ “Four-self” Ability——A Survey Based on the Current Situation of the “Four Self” of Students in Six Colleges and Universities in Sichuan Province

Abstract

In order to build a work system and implementation path for the improvement of college students’ “Four-Self” ability, a survey was carried out for 1920 students from six universities in Sichuan Province to explore the current situation of “Four-Self”in colleges and universities. The research found that: the current college students’ understanding of the “Four-Self” is not deep; the teacher education guidance, social practice exercise, cultural atmosphere creation, and party and league organization construction in colleges and universities are not effective in the field of “Four-Self”, and there are practical problems; The ability level of college students’ “four-self” has no effect, but being a student cadre, participating in social practice, and joining clubs and organizations have a positive impact on the ability of college students’ “four-self”. According to the survey, the work system and implementation path of college students’ “four-self” ability improvement are constructed from three main aspects: teacher education guidance, party and league organization construction, and cultural propaganda positions.
