Embracing Cultural Consciousness in Higher Vocational Foreign Language Education in China

Abstract


The rapid development of economy and society have changed people's material life and spiritual needs in China, as well as new development opportunities and challenges to the education. With the new curriculum reform of “foreign language education" in higher vocational colleges, more and more people began to concern on the cultivation of students' cultural consciousness in teaching, which can not only strengthen the students' ability of intercultural communication, but also help them to adapt to globalization. Based on this, this article mainly explores related overview of the cultural consciousness and analyzes how to embrace cultural consciousness in the foreign language education in higher vocational, hoping to provide a reference to related research enhancing the level of higher vocational foreign language education.
