A Comparison of “Production-Oriented Approach” and “Task-Based Language Teaching”: Teaching task and Task Design

Abstract


This paper compares the similarities and differences between "Production-Oriented Approach" and "Task-Based Language Teaching". Both of these two teaching tasks focus on learners' needs and have clear communicative purposes with meaning-oriented. However, there are differences in its task design process. Based on this, this paper find out the problems in the task design of "TBLT" and put forward the methods to optimize the task design so as to promote the compilation and use of teaching materials of TBLT.
