Layout of Information Resource Construction in the Library--The Library of Sichuan University as an Example

Abstract

With the professional development of university library services, the reasonable information resource construction work becomes more important as the basis for the library to carry out relevant services. Sichuan University Library has eight million volumes, not only that, but also a large amount of film and television, CD-ROM materials, etc. The construction of information resources in university library not only can promote the interconnection of information resources in university library, but also can spread the cultural value of information resources and effectively improve the service level of university library. Then how to arrange these massive books reasonably has become an important issue nowadays. This paper will start from the theory of information resource construction related to the layout of information resources, combine the importance of information resource construction of university libraries, take Sichuan University Library as an example, and make an in-depth investigation on the layout and sharing level of information resource construction of libraries based on the theoretical knowledge of information resource construction.
