A Study on the Correlation Between the Learning Styles and the Achievements of English Majors

Abstract


In order to formulate appropriate teaching strategies for students with diff erent learning styles, this author uses Reid’s Perceived Learning Styles Questionnaire (PLSPQ) to measure learning styles of 363 English majors in a university, adopts SPSS22.0 to analyze data, gets the infl uencing factors of learning styles of English majors, provides a basis for teachers to develop diversifi ed teaching styles and carry out teaching reform through multiple channels, and puts forward some corresponding countermeasures and suggestions, according to the characteristics and learning needs of learners with diff erent learning styles.
