The Significance and Practical Path of Integrating Labor Education into Ideological and Political Education in Colleges and Universities in the New Era

Abstract

In the new era, labor education is one of the important contents of cultivating socialist builders and successors with all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor, and an important part of the integration process of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor undertakings in colleges and universities. Colleges and universities should improve the overall quality of students, promote students’ thinking about labor, guide students to respect and advocate labor, promote the concept of labor, understand the true meaning and greatness of labor, and then strengthen it. College students in the new era are at a critical moment. At this stage, college students have low skills and relatively weak hands-on ability. In this case, integrating labor education into political education in colleges and universities, innovating labor education, and enhancing students’ labor values will help students to have a clear understanding of labor, bring students a greater sense of accomplishment, and further improve their labor ability and value identification.
