Research on Integration of Ideological and Political Education Into Nautical Majors

Abstract

We must take fostering virtue and cultivating people as a main central part and implement it throughout the whole process of education and teaching in an eff ort to fulfi ll whole-process, all-round education and break new ground in our higher education career. Teachers of courses except ideological and political courses should shoulder their responsibilities to go forward towards the same goal with ideological and political courses and form cooperative eff ect, President Xi Jinping emphasized at the national colleges and universities ideological and political working conference. This article is aimed at implementing the concept of ideological and political teaching proposed at the national colleges and universities ideological and political working conference, rebuilding the education goals of specialized courses, integrating ideological and political education elements including understanding of professional knowledge, spirit of navigation talents, cultivation of personality,social responsibility, patriotism and national defense education, into knowledge instruction and skill training, so as to promote students’ all-round development, embody teachers’ responsibility of imparting knowledge and cultivating people, and foster high-level, technology-based nautical talents.
