Refl ections on Communicative English Teaching in College English Teaching

Abstract


Under the background of the country’s increasingly frequent economic and foreign trade exchanges, the role of English has become increasingly prominent. At this time, in the process of English teaching in colleges and universities, improving the actual teaching quality plays a vital role, which can not only promote the development of the country, but also enhance the effi ciency of trade. At this stage, with the reform of education, the focus of English teaching in colleges and universities has gradually changed from the learning of theoretical knowledge to the application of knowledge, so as to improve the level of students’ use of English knowledge. However, in the actual teaching process, due to the infl uence of traditional teaching concepts,the teaching methods used by teachers are diffi cult to stimulate students’ enthusiasm for learning English. In order to eff ectively change this kind of teaching drawbacks, in the process of college English teaching, communicative English teaching mode should be integrated, so as to enhance students’ emotional experience, so that they can integrate their own emotions in expression, so as to strengthen their ability to use English knowledge. Based on this, this paper explores the current situation of the application of communicative English teaching in college English teaching, and puts forward the optimization method, which aims to provide reference for the relevant personnel to study it later.
