Analysis of the Reform and Innovation of English Teaching in Colleges and Universities under the New Media Environment

Abstract


With the development of economic globalization and cultural diversity, the role and status of English is becoming more and more important, and the demand for English professionals from society and enterprises is increasing. In this regard, schools need to pay attention to the teaching of English courses, strengthen the training of students' basic language skills, improve students' English oral expression ability, cross-linguistic communication ability and vocational ability, so that students can better meet the needs of enterprises, social development needs, and national cultural communication needs. Under the current development of information technology, new media technology is constantly developing, prompting society to enter into a new media environment, in this context, new requirements are put forward for the traditional English course teaching in colleges and universities. In this regard, schools need to grasp the characteristics and trends of the new media environment, strengthen teaching reform and innovation, develop scientific teaching strategies, so as to ensure that students can better adapt to the changing characteristics of the new media environment with the future. This paper mainly focuses on the analysis of reform and innovation of English teaching in colleges and universities under the environment of new media.
