Research on the Application of Media Language in Higher Vocational English Teaching
Abstract
Teaching medium refers to all "the language that teachers use to teach in the classroom". According to this definition, media in a broad sense can be divided into two categories, one is to use the target language directly, not to use other languages; One is the use of the learner's mother tongue or a language that other students are familiar with.
In higher vocational English teaching, two ways are usually used to organize teaching: one is to use Chinese as the medium language for teaching activities, and the other is to directly use the target language, that is, English. However, for learners, i.e. vocational students, do they use Chinese as a medium for teaching, or do they directly use English for teaching activities? Are there any differences in classroom effectiveness between teachers' use of medium and target language? This is what we need to explore.
