Research on the College Cultivation System of Technological Innovation Talents in China — Inspiration from STEAM Education and “Olin model”

Abstract


Training technological innovation talents has become the most urgent task of higher education in China. This paper first discusses the western STEAM educational practice from three dimensions. Then it analyzes the practical experience of Olin College in training top innovative talents in the field of engineering. Finally, the overall design of undergraduate technological innovation talents cultivation system for China is made from the three aspects of professional knowledge, innovative thinking and driving force
