Research on the Current Situation and Path of Balancing the Relationship between Teaching and Research among Young Teachers in Universities

Abstract


Most universities in China are institutions of parallel teaching and research, so teachers are required not only for teaching skills, but also for scientific research ability. However, the general situation is that teachers tend to pay more attention to do scientific research rather than enhance teaching skills. Young teachers, as the new force of colleges and universities, are the hope of the development of universities. In the case, the correct cognition of the relationship between teaching and scientific research, and coordination of the relationship between teaching and scientific research are tough tasks, but also the focus of young teachers who have just entered the teaching workplace. Based on the actual situation of teaching and research in universities, this paper will explore the current situation of young teachers’ cognition and handling of the relationship between them, and try to put forward suggestions for young teachers to balance the relationship between them.
