Research on the Protection and Utilization of Regional Cultural Elements in Public Space Design

Abstract

As an important part of the excellent culture of the Chinese nation, regional culture refl ects the regional characteristics of diff erent regions. This paper takes public space design as the research goal, and focuses on the application of regional cultural elements in its design. First, it introduces the basic connotation of regional culture and public space, and then analyzes the devel-opment of regional culture in public space design. Finally, it analyzes and explores the application of regional culture in public space design, mainly from its expression methods, hoping to play a certain role in helping the development of regional culture in diff erent fi elds in China and the design of public space.
