Abstract


“Colourful Clouds Chasing the Moon” is a piano composition by Wang Jianzhong that is based on a folk symphonic piece of the same name. It is well-known for its rich folk color and unique aesthetic charm, and it has become an excellent Chinese piano composition required for the piano learning process. This paper off ers a resource for performers and students by analyzing the compositional context, performance methods, and educational uses of these piano compositions.
