Research on the Path of Integrating Ideological and Political Education into College English Course under the Background of New Liberal Arts

Abstract

College English, as a comprehensive and multi-subject general course, is a compulsory course for non-English majors in colleges and universities. Under the background of the new liberal arts, it is of great signifi cance for the construction of college English courses in colleges to dig deeply into the ideological and political elements of college English courses, explore eff ective paths of integrating ideological and political education into English courses, promote interdisciplinary integration and development,and establish a perfect system of cultivating virtues and talents.Based on this and combined with the current situation of ideological and political education of colleges, this paper tries to dig deeply into the ideological and political elements of textbooks, optimizes the curriculum setting, and hopes to explore a path for the implementation of ideological and political education into College English teaching.
