Thinking about Strategies to Improve Primary and Secondary School Teachers’ Information Technology Application Ability in the Era of “Internet+”

Abstract


The advent of the “Internet+” era has prompted new changes in the field of education. Facing the challenges of educational changes, teachers need to continuously improve their IT application skills in order to better cope with educational changes and promote educational informatization. Through the study of literature related to teachers’ IT application skills, the article collates the current dilemmas faced by primary and secondary school teachers’ IT application skills, and proposes corresponding measures. From the macro aspect, it proposes to strengthen policy guidelines and carry out professional training; increase financial investment and improve the software and hardware environment. From the meso aspect, it is proposed to establish school websites and knowledge communities. Conduct competitions on IT application skills. On the micro level, it is proposed to develop IT application skills in teaching practice; and develop IT resources in curriculum practice. Finally, a few thoughts on the future development of teachers’ IT application skills are pointed out, which hopefully will shed some light on the improvement of primary and secondary school teachers’ IT application skills.
