On the Practice and Application of International Understanding Education in Exhibition English Teaching in Sichuan Vocational Colleges

Abstract

Sichuan Province is an important region in western development, but also behind a national strategy. Chengdu, as an international city of convention and exhibition, is among the top ten exhibition cities in the Asia-Pacifi c. With the improvement of the development level of the exhibition industry, the degree of internationalization and openness of the exhibition is getting higher and higher, and the demand for high-quality talents is more urgent, especially for those who understand professional knowledge of business exhibition, understand English, have an international vision and can participate in international aff airs. As a professional English course off ered by many colleges and universities, it is particularly important to strengthen the education of international understanding. However, due to the objective reality factors and cross-cultural diff erences, international understanding education will be aff ected. This paper discusses the current situation of international understanding education in exhibition English teaching in vocational colleges in Sichuan province, analyzes the defi ciency of international understanding education in exhibition English teaching in combination with the development of Sichuan conference and exhibition industry, focuses on the study of practical application countermeasures to improve international understanding education, and puts forward some personal suggestions.
