Research and Analysis on the Value of People-oriented Thought in Traditional Culture

Abstract

Understanding Chinese traditional culture is the primary task of carrying forward Chinese civilization and promoting cultural self-confidence. Some contemporary advanced social thoughts and ideas in Chinese traditional culture are reflected beyond the times. Ancient Chinese philosophy is an important part of Chinese traditional culture. Among them, people-oriented thought is one of the important contents of ancient Chinese philosophy. People-oriented thought occupies a core position in the formation of Chinese civilization, and has a long history and extensive infl uence. This paper first introduces the basic connotation and historical origin of the people-based thought, and then discusses the value significance of the people-based thought in history and contemporary society from the three aspects of culture, economy and society. Finally, in the process of inheriting and carrying forward the traditional culture, we should deeply understand the connotation and value of the people-oriented thought, and promote its guiding role in modern society.
