English as a Global Language: Threat or Opportunity for Minority Languages

Abstract


This essay mainly discusses the influence and interaction of English as a global language on other weak and minority languages in the world. However, globalization is not equal to uniformity. All countries should put forward necessary protection measures for the inheritance and development of their own languages and cultures, so as to make contributions to the harmonious international multi-language environment and the splendid history of human civilization.
