A Review of Studies on Pre-service EFL Teachers’ Professional Identity

Abstract


The research on pre-service EFL teachers’ professional identity is of great importance to promote their professional development and improve the EFL qualities in the future. This study has analyzed the basic information, specifi c research methods,the ways of data collection and analysis and the research results of the past ten years literatures on pre-service EFL teachers’professional identity. Future researches are suggested to focus on the psychological and social mechanism of the development of professional identity of pre-service EFL teachers, while investigating the professional identity of pre-service teachers.
