Abstract

In the context of curriculum-based ideological and political education, this study explores the characteristics, challeng-es, and optimization paths of college physical education. Firstly, it elaborates on the basic teaching requirements and content of curriculum-based ideological and political education and describes the connotation and characteristics of college physical educa-tion, as well as its position and role in curriculum-based ideological and political education. Then, it analyzes the problems and challenges faced by college physical education development and the shortcomings and issues of college physical education. At the same time, it provides an in-depth analysis of the current situation and infl uencing factors of college physical education.
