How to Improve Oral Communicative Competence for Primary School Students

Abstract


From the perspective of the weak development of oral communicative competence for primary school students, the phenomenon called “dumb English” has been put forward at the beginning of the study, then the reasons why this phenomenon exists are analyzed from teachers’ attitude, family environment and personal factors. According to these causes, a series of effective means have been put forward in the real teaching situation in Chinese class. First of all, creating an authentic environment is the fundamental part. Secondly, decoration and arrangement of the classroom is also important. Lastly, teaching in simple English, to be acceptable for primary school students.
