Study on the Mediating Role of College English Interpreting Teachers in the Perspective of Production-Oriented Approach Theory

Linjiang Xie

Abstract

The theory of Output Oriented Approach is to develop students' ability to use the language in a way that is appropriate to the English translation profession. In English translation teaching, the mediating role of teachers is based on the teaching mode of “motivation-facilitation-evaluation”. The teacher plays the role of a designer, a resource person, a facilitator, a guide, an assistant, and an evaluator, creating resources and conditions for students to use the language and improve their overall quality in the teaching process.
