This paper mainly introduces the discrimination of synonyms in the following aspects: difference in the range of meaning, difference in the intensity of meaning, difference in emotional implication, difference in style, diff erence in collocation, diff erence in semantic meaning and difference in district. Finally, the significance and value of synonyms are introduced.
