Interdisciplinary Teaching Strategies of College English Teaching under the Background of New Liberal Arts

Abstract


This paper introduces the interdisciplinary teaching strategies of college English based on the background of new liberal arts. With the development of college English teaching under the background of new liberal arts, interdisciplinary teaching has become an important teaching strategy. This paper first introduces the characteristics and challenges of college English teaching under the background of new liberal arts, and then discusses the concept and significance of interdisciplinary teaching. Then, this paper puts forward the strategies of interdisciplinary teaching of college English based on the background of new liberal arts, which are to integrate other disciplines, introduce realistic materials, formulate interdisciplinary teaching plans, adopt diversifi ed teaching methods, strengthen teacher training, and cultivate their awareness and ability of interdisciplinary teaching. The empirical analysis shows that the strategy proposed in this study has high effectiveness and practical operability, which can provide some guidance for college English teaching.
